Sri Sankara Bhagavadpada’s(DOB, May 1st, 1948) entire scholastic- 
spiritual life has gone into the structure & content of both the Maitreya darshana as well as the Course: Maitreya Jyotisha. His background as a fulfilled post-doctoral researcher in theoretical nuclear physics (1971-1983) has imparted to the Course, the tenor of a systematic, analytical (in sutra form), yet at the same time, also wholistic and contemplative vein; seen either in the modern hard sciences, or in philosophies, and in the ancient Hindu Jyotisha, Ayurveda, Yoga, Vedanta texts & scriptures. His understanding of the spiritual spheres of life (dharma & moksha) (w.e.f. 1973-…), has imparted to the Course, the tenor of an originally discovered spiritual realization & also spiritual ethos. In February 2007, he was awarded the title, Jyotish Ratan by Professor V.K. Choudhry, the Founder of the Systems Approach to Hindu Astrology[SA] for his meritorious services towards the furtherance of this ancient Hindu discipline of astrology and the SA in particular.
Throughout his spiritual pilgrimage w.e.f. 2004, Dr Prema Shanker, a Pediatric Consultant (his wife) has been an integral part of his work in India and abroad. Ms. Gayatri Shanker, his only daughter, started contributing to his work, since the inception of SMAYR.
His two published works: 1) ‘Sri Ramana Maharshi’s Moksha’ (2008), published by Yogi Impressions Books Pvt Ltd, Mumbai; and 2) ‘Self-Realization through self-Knowing’ (2016), same publisher. On Sept 11th , 2006, he created Hindu World Astrology. On Aug 6th, 2024, in association with a number of highly intelligent collaborators, he founded the registered body: Shri Maitreya Amanaska Yoga Research Pvt Ltd, for the furtherance of his lifetime work in Amanaska Yoga, as well as in Jyotisha. On 27th, January 2025, he initiated Sri Sambasiva Ramanananda and Sri Arun Krishnan as Acharyas of Amanaska Yoga & Jyotisha, for Lokakalyana. In Late February 2025, in Rishikesh, he initiated Sri. Madhu Sai Deevanapalli (Canada), Sri. Ricardo Bravo (Chile & Argentina) and Sri. Krishnaraj Balasubramanian (Coimbatore, India) as Acharyas of Amanaska Yoga & Jyotisha, again for Lokakalyana.
Currently, he is working on two AI Projects, AI-Anantha for the Amanaska Yoga Online Course and AI-Maitreya for the Maitreya Jyotisha Online Course. He has been collaborating with Sadanand Kadari [Data science & AI Architect] for manifesting the AI App Project of ‘Immortal Krishnamurti’.

Sutra on ‘Bija-Vriksha Nyaya’: You could think of the horoscope as a ‘seed’, and mysteriously, the entire life drama, unfolds from this original ‘seed’ in much the same way as a tree unfolds from its original seed. This is the sutra of ‘bija-vriksha nyaya’(seed-tree principle).
