SHIPPING AND DELIVERY POLICY
This Shipping Policy (“Policy”) forms part of the Terms of Use and governs the delivery of any physical or digital products (“Products”) purchased through the Website operated by Hindu World Astrology (Owned by Sankara Bhagavadpada) on behalf of itself and its successors in interest and, representatives (also referred to as “us”, “our” or “we”). By placing an order on our Website, you (“User” or “you”) agree to this Policy in addition to the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.
This Shipping & Delivery Policy (“Shipping Policy”) governs the dispatch, shipment, delivery, inspection, and transit-related matters concerning Physical Products purchased from the Hindu World Astrology through its Website or other authorized channels. This Policy shall be read in conjunction with the Hindu World Astrology’s Payment Policy, Refund Policy, Terms of Use, and applicable law.
1. Scope and Applicability
1.1 This Shipping Policy applies exclusively to Physical Products, being tangible goods capable of physical delivery.
1.2 Digital Products, courses, consultations, services, or bundled offerings containing digital or service components are not governed by this Shipping Policy, except where expressly stated.
- Order Processing
2.1 Orders for Physical Products are processed within three (3) to five (5) business days from the date of successful payment confirmation, excluding Sundays and public holidays.
2.2 Order processing includes internal verification, quality checks, packaging, and handover to the designated logistics partner.
2.3 In cases involving customized, limited-availability, or made-to-order Physical Products, processing may take up to seven (7) business days, and the User shall be notified accordingly.
2.4 An order confirmation email shall be issued within forty-eight (48) hours of successful payment, confirming acceptance and processing of the order.
- Shipping and Dispatch
- Physical Products are shipped via designated courier or postal services to the address provided at checkout.
- Delivery timelines vary depending on the destination but usually range between ___to _____ business days within India, subject to availability and logistics readiness.. International deliveries may take longer depending on customs and local postal timelines etc.
- Once the Product is handed over by us to the designated courier or postal service for shipment, the ownership and risk associated with the Product transfer to you. This means that any loss, damage, or delay occurring during transit shall be the responsibility of the courier or logistics provider. However, we will make reasonable efforts to assist you in tracking, recovering, or resolving any issues related to delivery through coordination with the shipping partner.
- We are not liable for delays caused by courier agencies, customs, force majeure events, or inaccurate address details provided by you.
- Physical Products shall be delivered to the address provided by the User at the time of checkout.
- Users are solely responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of delivery details. The Hindu World Astrology shall not be liable for:
- delays, non-delivery, or loss arising from incorrect or incomplete address information; or
- failure of delivery due to absence or unavailability of the recipient.
3.1 In cases of failed delivery attributable to the User, re-shipping may be undertaken at the User’s cost.
4. Completion of Delivery
4.1 Delivery shall be deemed complete upon the earlier of:
- physical receipt of the Product by the User or an authorised recipient at the delivery address; or
- confirmation of delivery by the logistics provider’s tracking system.
4.2 Upon completion of delivery, responsibility for the Product shall transfer in accordance with applicable law and the terms herein.
- Transfer of Risk
5.1 Risk of loss or damage to Physical Products shall pass to the User upon delivery, as defined under Clause 4, unless otherwise required under applicable consumer protection laws.
5.2 Where loss or damage occurs during transit prior to delivery, the Hindu World Astrology shall, at its discretion and subject to verification, coordinate with the logistics provider to:
- initiate investigation; and
- provide replacement or refund, where appropriate.
6. Inspection and Reporting of Issues
6.1 Users are advised to inspect Physical Products immediately upon delivery.
6.2 Any claim relating to:
- visible damage;
- manufacturing defect;
- missing items; or
- incorrect Product,
must be reported to the Hindu World Astrology within forty-eight (48) hours of delivery, along with:
- order ID; and
- clear photographic or video evidence.
6.3 Claims reported after this period may not be accepted, except where mandated under applicable law.
7. Delayed, Lost, or Undelivered Shipments
7.1 If a shipment is delayed beyond fifteen (15) business days from the expected delivery date, Users may contact the Hindu World Astrology for assistance.
7.2 Where a shipment is conclusively determined to be lost in transit:
- the Hindu World Astrology shall, after verification, offer a replacement or refund; and
- such refund or replacement shall be processed in accordance with the Payment and Refund Policy.
7.3 The Hindu World Astrology shall not be liable for delays caused by:
- courier agencies;
- customs authorities;
- force majeure events; or
- regulatory or governmental restrictions.
6. Returns, Refunds, and Replacements
- 6.1 Returns, refunds, or replacements of Physical Products shall be governed by:
- this Shipping Policy;
- the Payment and Refund Policy; and
- applicable consumer protection laws.
6.2 No return or refund shall be permitted for:
- change of mind;
- personal preference; or
subjective dissatisfaction.
6.3 Products damaged due to misuse, improper handling, or negligence after delivery shall not be eligible for replacement or refund.
7. Force Majeure
The Hindu World Astrology shall not be held responsible for any delay or failure in shipping or delivery arising from events beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to natural calamities, strikes, pandemics, governmental actions, or logistical shutdowns.
8. Compliance with Law
This Shipping Policy is framed in compliance with:
- the Sale of Goods Act, 1930;
- the Consumer Protection Act, 2019; and
- the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020.
Nothing herein shall limit or exclude statutory rights available to Users under applicable law.
