PAYMENT & REFUND POLICY

For ease of understanding and complying, payment and refund terms are structured separately for:

1. Services (that includes consultations, courses, workshops, and e-books)
2. Digital Products
3. Physical Products

Each category has different operational and refund rules due to the nature of delivery and customization involved.

“Together referred to as Offerings”.

Classification of Offerings

All Offerings on the website fall under the following categories:

1. Services

“Services” shall mean any service of any description made available to users through the website, whether delivered online, digitally, or otherwise, for consideration, and shall include the provision of advisory, educational, consultative, or informational facilities.

For the purposes of this Policy, Services include but are not limited to:

• Astrological consultations (personalized or general),
• Courses, workshops, webinars and similar educational or instructional programs,
• E-books, guides, learning material, recordings, and other educational or informational content, where such content is provided as part of, ancillary to, or bundled with a Service, or where the dominant purpose of the Offering is instructional, consultative, or advisory in nature, notwithstanding the mode of digital delivery.

For the avoidance of doubt, the digital mode of delivery shall not, by itself, determine whether an Offering constitutes a Product.

• guides, learning material and other educational content, notwithstanding the mode of digital delivery.

1. Products

“Products” shall mean any article, goods, substance, or material, whether in physical or digital form, having intrinsic commercial value, capable of delivery, and produced for introduction into trade or commerce.

For the purposes of this Policy, Products include:

• Digital Products, only where such offerings are expressly identified, marketed, and sold as standalone products, independent of any Service component and not involving personalization, consultation, or instructional engagement;
• Physical Products, including tangible goods capable of physical delivery.

C. Bundled and Hybrid Offerings

“Bundled and Hybrid Offerings” shall mean any Offering in which two or more components are provided together for a single consolidated price, including any combination of:

• Services and Digital Products;
• Services and Physical Products; or
• Digital Products and Physical Products,

whether such components are delivered simultaneously or sequentially, and irrespective of whether such components are itemized separately for descriptive or informational purposes.

The Hindu World Astrology(Owned by Sankara Bhagavadpada) reserves the right to classify any Offering as a Service or Product.

General Payment Principles (Applicable to All Offerings)

• All prices for the Offerings are either displayed on the website or where not expressly displayed, shall be prescribed and communicated by the Hindu World Astrology to You. All such prices must be paid in advance in accordance with the terms herein, unless otherwise expressly agreed in writing between You and the Hindu World Astrology. Payments are processed through secure third-party payment gateways.
• A transaction is completed only upon successful payment authorization and confirmation of payment.

General Refund Principles

• The Offerings provided by the Hindu World Astrology are, by their nature, personalized, belief-based, digital, experiential, or time-bound and involve advance preparation, intellectual effort, scheduling, or allocation of limited resources. Refunds are permitted only in the limited circumstances expressly set out in this Policy. Except where expressly provided herein, all Offerings shall be non-refundable once confirmed, accessed, scheduled, downloaded, delivered (in whole or in part), or commenced, as the case may be.
• For the purposes of this Policy, and unless otherwise expressly provided herein, an Offering shall be deemed to have “commenced” when the Hindu World Astrology has begun performance, preparation, delivery, or allocation of resources in respect of such Offering, or when access to, availability of, or delivery of the Offering (in whole or in part) has been provided to the User, whichever occurs earlier. Commencement shall be independent of actual usage, attendance, participation, or completion by the User. Notwithstanding anything to the contrary, the Hindu World Astrology may, at its sole discretion and subject to verification, consider issuing a refund or credit only in the circumstances expressly identified in this Policy.
• Digital Product shall not be eligible for refund once access has been granted or content downloaded, except where non-accessibility is conclusively proven to be solely attributable to the Hindu World Astrology.
• No refund shall be granted for issues arising from the User’s device, internet connectivity, software, browser compatibility, third-party platforms, or payment gateways beyond the Hindu World Astrology’s reasonable control.
• All refund or credit requests must be submitted in writing with relevant transaction details and shall be subject to verification and approval in accordance with this Policy.
• The Hindu World Astrology does not warrant or guarantee any specific outcome, result, accuracy, or benefit arising from any Offering. Subjective dissatisfaction, change of belief, change of personal circumstances, or unmet expectations shall not constitute grounds for a refund.

Nothing in this Policy shall exclude or limit any non-waivable rights available to You/User under applicable law. In the event of any conflict or inconsistency between the General Principles and the Specific Terms, the Specific Terms shall prevail with respect to the relevant Offering.

References to General Principles are intended to provide a broad framework and uniform baseline treatment across Offerings. Specific Terms are intended to address the unique nature, mode of delivery, customization, or operational characteristics of particular Offerings.

The application of Specific Terms in respect of any Offering shall not constitute a waiver or limitation of the General Principles with respect to any other Offering.

Service-Specific Terms

(Applicable to Consultations, Courses, Workshops, Webinars, and Similar Services)

Except where expressly provided under this Policy, any specific terms, conditions, timelines, commencement triggers, usage limitations, or eligibility criteria etc applicable to a particular Service, Product, or bundled offering shall be communicated separately by the Hindu World Astrology at the time of offering, booking, or confirmation and shall be deemed to form an integral part of this Policy.

These Service-Specific Terms shall be read in conjunction with the General Payment Principles and General Refund Principles set out in this Policy.

In the event of any inconsistency, these Service-Specific Terms shall prevail in respect of the relevant Service, without affecting the application of the General Principles to other Offerings.

For the purposes of Services, commencement shall have the meaning assigned under the General Refund Principles of this Policy and shall include, without limitation, scheduling of the Service, initiation of preparatory work, sharing of access links or materials, or the start of the session, irrespective of actual attendance or participation by the User, as the case maybe, that will be intimated/informed by the Hindu World Astrology in advance depending on the type of Service offered.

Except in the limited circumstances expressly provided below, no refund shall be applicable once a Service has commenced, or where the User fails to attend, participate, or complete the Service for any whatsoever reasons attributable to the User.

Discontinuation due to personal preference, change of belief, lack of interest, or dissatisfaction with the nature or content of the Service shall not entitle the User to any refund.

●       Exceptional Circumstances — Credit / Limited Refund

Notwithstanding the above, the Hindu World Astrology may, subject to verification and at its sole discretion, offer credit or partial refund in the following exceptional circumstances:

 

• Grievous illness, hospitalization, family misfortunes, or accidents

 Where a User is unable to attend or continue a Service due to:

• grievous illness or hospitalization of the User, or
• serious family misfortune or accident,

the Hindu World Astrology may permit the paid amount to be retained as non-transferable credit, which may be availed by the User for a future Service, subject to availability and validity conditions communicated by the Hindu World Astrology.

 

No cash refund shall ordinarily be applicable in such cases.

• Nomination of another candidate/substitute participant

Where deemed fit and appropriate by the Hindu World Astrology, a User may nominate another suitable participant to attend the Service in their place, provided:

• the nomination request is made in advance,
• complete details of the substitute participant are shared, and
• such substitution does not materially alter the nature or delivery of the Service

Approval of substitution shall be at the sole discretion of the Hindu World Astrology.

• Death of participant

In the unfortunate event of the death of a participant due to accident, natural causes, or other unforeseen circumstances, the participant’s spouse or legal heir may request a refund of up to seventy-five percent (75%) of the amount paid, subject to:

• submission of a death certificate or other reasonable documentary proof, and
• verification by the Hindu World Astrology

The balance amount shall be retained towards administrative, preparatory, and scheduling costs already incurred.

●       Overpayment & Excess Payment

–          Duplicate or Excess Payment for Participants

If a User inadvertently makes payment for more participants  than intended, the excess amount shall be refunded in full, provided the error is reported within fifteen (15) days of payment and prior to commencement of the relevant Service for the excess participant(s).

• Excess Payment over Published Tariff

Where a User pays an amount exceeding the published tariff for a Service, the excess amount shall be refunded within a reasonable period (not exceeding fifteen (15) days), subject to verification.

●       No Refund for Personal Preference or Voluntary Discontinuation

Where a User voluntarily discontinues, withdraws from, or fails to attend a Service due to personal preference or convenience, no refund, credit, or substitution shall be permitted.

Discretion & Finality

All determinations relating to refunds, credits, substitutions, or exceptional relief under these Service-Specific Terms shall be made by the Hindu World Astrology in good faith and shall be final and binding, subject only to applicable non-waivable rights under law.

Bundled Offerings and Refund Treatment

1. Primary Classification Rule
    Unless expressly stated otherwise in the offering-specific terms, a Bundled or Hybrid Offering shall be classified based on its dominant and primary purpose, as determined by the Hindu World Astrology in good faith.
2. Service-Dominant Bundles
    Where the dominant purpose of the Bundled Offering is advisory, consultative, instructional, experiential, belief-based, or time-bound in nature:

• the Bundled Offering shall be treated as a Service for the purposes of commencement, refund eligibility, cancellation, and withdrawal; and
• any Products or Digital Products included therein shall be deemed ancillary, incidental, and inseparable from the Service.

1. Product-Dominant Bundles
    Where the dominant purpose of the Bundled Offering is the standalone sale of a Product or Digital Product:

• the Bundled Offering shall be treated as a Product; and
• refund, return, or replacement shall be governed by the applicable Product-Specific Terms, subject to any express exclusions communicated at the time of sale.

1. Hindu World Astrology’s Classification Authority
    The Hindu World Astrology reserves the right to classify any Bundled or Hybrid Offering as a Service or Product, and such classification shall be final and binding, subject to applicable law.

Commencement of Bundled and Hybrid Offerings

1. Commencement Trigger
    For the purposes of this Policy, a Bundled or Hybrid Offering shall be deemed to have commenced upon the earliest occurrence of any of the following:

• scheduling of any Service component;
• initiation of preparatory or backend work for any component;
• provision of access to, availability of, or delivery of any Digital Product, content, material, recording, or downloadable item;
• dispatch or delivery of any Physical Product forming part of the bundle.

1. No Dependency on Utilization
    Commencement shall apply irrespective of whether the User accesses, uses, attends, downloads, consumes, or completes any individual component of the Bundled Offering.

Refund Treatment for Bundled and Hybrid Offerings

1. Single Composite Treatment
    Unless expressly provided otherwise, Bundled and Hybrid Offerings shall be treated as a single, indivisible commercial package.
2. No Component-wise Refunds
    Once a Bundled or Hybrid Offering has commenced:

• no refund, cancellation, or credit shall be available by disaggregating, isolating, or valuing individual components (including Digital Products or Physical Products); and
• Users shall not be entitled to claim partial, pro-rata, or component-specific refunds.

1. Digital Content within Bundles
    Access to any Digital Products or content provided as part of a Bundled Offering shall:

• be deemed part of commencement; and
• not be eligible for separate refund once access has been granted or content made available.

4. Physical Products within Bundles
   Where Physical Products are included within a Bundled Offering:

• return or replacement, if any, shall be limited strictly to manufacturing defects or transit damage, in accordance with applicable law; and
• no refund shall be granted where the Service component has commenced or where the bundle has been partially delivered.

Override by Express Offering-Specific Terms

Notwithstanding anything contained in this Policy:

• where the Hindu World Astrology expressly specifies refund, cancellation, or withdrawal terms for a particular Bundled or Hybrid Offering at the time of purchase or confirmation,
• such offering-specific terms shall prevail over this Policy solely to the extent of such inconsistency, without affecting the application of this Policy to other Offerings

.

• Exclusion of Component-Based Claims
  Users shall not be entitled to claim refunds, cancellations, or adjustments by disaggregating or isolating individual components (including Digital Products) of a Bundled Offering once the Service has commenced.

Anti-Avoidance Clause

Users shall not be entitled to:

• bypass refund restrictions by characterizing a Bundled Offering as a Product-only purchase, or Service-only purchase; or
• seek remedies by selectively accepting or rejecting individual components of a Bundled or Hybrid Offering after commencement.

Nothing contained in these Service-Specific Terms or elsewhere in this Policy shall be construed as creating any obligation on the Hindu World Astrology to issue a refund, credit, or substitution except to the extent expressly provided herein or required under applicable law.

If any provision of these Service-Specific Terms is held to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable by a competent authority, such provision shall be severed to the extent of such invalidity, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

Prices, Payment and Contract Formation

1. Offer to Purchase
   By clicking “Enroll Now”, “Pay Now”, or any similar call-to-action, You submit an offer to purchase the relevant Service, Product, or Bundled Offering in accordance with this Policy and the offering-specific terms communicated by the Hindu World Astrology.
2. Formation of Contract
    No binding contract shall come into existence between You and the Hindu World Astrology unless and until:

• full payment has been successfully authorized and confirmed through the designated payment gateway; and
• the Hindu World Astrology issues a confirmation of enrolment, access, or booking, whether electronically or otherwise.

The Hindu World Astrology reserves the right, at its sole discretion and without obligation to assign reasons, to decline or cancel any order prior to successful payment authorization.

1. Advance Payment Requirement
    All fees for Services, Products, or Bundled Offerings are payable in advance, unless otherwise expressly agreed in writing by the Hindu World Astrology. The Hindu World Astrology shall have no obligation to provide, commence, or deliver any Offering unless and until full payment has been received.
2. Pricing Disclosure
    Prices for Offerings are either:

• displayed on the Website; or
• where not expressly displayed, prescribed and communicated by the Hindu World Astrology to You prior to confirmation.

All prices shall be payable in the currency specified at the time of purchase and shall be inclusive of applicable GST, VAT, or other statutory levies unless expressly stated otherwise.

1. Payment Processing
    Payments are processed through secure third-party payment gateways selected by You. The Hindu World Astrology does not store, process, or retain any credit or debit card details. Authorization for payment must be granted at the time of placing the order.
2. Completion of Transaction
    A transaction shall be deemed complete only upon successful payment authorization and confirmation. Any failure, reversal, or interruption in payment authorization shall render the transaction incomplete.

Delivery, Access and Enrollment

1. Confirmation and Access
    Upon successful payment, You shall receive a confirmation email within forty-eight (48) working hours acknowledging enrolment, purchase, or booking. The Hindu World Astrology shall separately communicate access details, including URLs, login credentials, or instructions, as applicable.
2. Deemed Enrollment
    Enrollment for a Service or Bundled Offering shall be deemed confirmed upon successful payment, subject to commencement triggers set out in this Policy and any offering-specific terms.
3. User Account Responsibility
    Where required, Users shall create and maintain login credentials to access Services or Digital Products. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of such credentials and all activities carried out under Your account.

Scholarships, Discounts and Instalment Options

1. Scholarships
    The Hindu World Astrology may, at its sole discretion, offer partial or full scholarships based on merit, financial need, or other criteria determined by the Hindu World Astrology. Scholarship availability, eligibility, and conditions shall be communicated separately and may be withdrawn or modified without prior notice.
2. Instalment / Deferred Payment Options
    Where expressly offered, Users may opt for monthly, quarterly, or other installment-based payment plans, subject to:

• timely payment of each installment; and
• compliance with the Hindu World Astrology’s rules and schedules.

Failure to adhere to installment timelines may result in suspension, restriction, or termination of access, without prejudice to the Hindu World Astrology’s right to recover outstanding amounts.

1. Effect on Refunds
    Scholarships, discounts, or installment arrangements shall not alter or expand refund eligibility unless expressly stated in writing. Refunds, credits, or substitutions shall remain governed strictly by this Policy.

This section shall be read in conjunction with:

• the General Payment Principles;
• the General Refund Principles;
• the applicable Service-Specific Terms; and
• any offering-specific terms communicated at the time of purchase.

In the event of any inconsistency, the more specific provision applicable to the relevant Offering shall prevail, without affecting the validity or enforceability of the remaining provisions of this Policy.

 

Product-Specific Terms

These Product-Specific Terms shall apply to Offerings classified as “Products” under this Policy and shall be read in conjunction with the General Payment Principles, General Refund Principles, and any product-specific information communicated by the Hindu World Astrology at the time of purchase. In the event of any inconsistency, these Product-Specific Terms shall prevail with respect to the relevant Product.

1. Digital Products

Delivery and Access

Digital Products are delivered electronically and require full advance payment.

 Delivery of Digital Products shall occur after full payment in advance., upon:

• provision of access credentials, download links, or platform access; or
• enabling availability of the Digital Product for viewing, streaming, or download,
  whichever occurs earlier.

Commencement and Completion

For the purposes of this Policy, a Digital Product shall be deemed to have commenced upon the earliest of:

• access being granted to the User;
• download being enabled or initiated;
• content being made available for viewing, streaming, or use,

irrespective of whether the User actually accesses, downloads, views, or uses the Digital Product.

Refunds

 General Rule –  Non-Refundable
 Except where expressly provided herein, Digital Products are non-refundable once delivery, access, or availability has occurred, due to their intangible nature and immediate usability.

Limited Exceptions
 A refund may be considered only in the following limited circumstances:

1. Duplicate or Erroneous Payment
   Where the User has made a duplicate payment or an excess payment for the same Digital Product, the excess amount shall be refunded, subject to verification.
2. Verified Technical Failure Attributable to the Hindu World Astrology
   Where the Digital Product is conclusively proven to be:

• inaccessible; or
• materially unusable

solely due to a technical defect attributable or any reason attributable to the Hindu World Astrology, and not due to the User’s device, software, internet connectivity, browser compatibility, or third-party platforms, the Hindu World Astrology may, at its discretion:

• restore access; or
• issue a refund or credit.

Exclusions
 No refund shall be granted in cases including:

• user error or lack of technical knowledge;
• incompatibility with the User’s device, operating system, or software;
• dissatisfaction with content, quality, accuracy, or usefulness;
• change of belief, preference, or personal circumstances; or
• failure to access or download within the validity period communicated by the Hindu World Astrology.

No Right of Return or Exchange

Given the intangible nature of Digital Products:

• no return, exchange, or cancellation shall be permitted once access or delivery has occurred; and
• Users waive any claim to a “cooling-off” or trial period, except where mandated by applicable law.

2. Pricing & Payment

1.1 All prices for Physical Products shall be as displayed on the Website or otherwise communicated by the Hindu World Astrology and shall be payable in advance, unless expressly agreed otherwise in writing.

1.2 Prices shall be exclusive or inclusive of applicable taxes, shipping charges, and other fees as clearly disclosed at the time of checkout.

1.3 Payment shall be deemed complete only upon successful authorization through the Hindu World Astrology’s designated third-party payment gateway. The Hindu World Astrology does not store card or banking details.

2. Order Acceptance & Dispatch

2.1 Placement of an order constitutes an offer to purchase. An order shall be deemed accepted only upon:

• successful payment confirmation; and
• issuance of an order confirmation email.

2.2 Physical Products shall be dispatched to the delivery address provided by the User at the time of purchase.

2.3 Dispatch timelines are governed by the Shipping & Delivery Policy and are subject to product availability, logistics constraints, and force majeure events.

3. Delivery & Completion

3.1 Delivery shall be deemed complete upon the earlier of:

• physical receipt of the Product by the User or an authorized recipient at the delivery address; or
• delivery confirmation recorded by the designated logistics provider.

3.2 Users are advised to promptly inspect Physical Products upon delivery and report any visible damage, defects, or discrepancies strictly within the timelines specified in the Shipping & Delivery Policy or as mandated under applicable law.

4. Transfer of Risk and Title

4.1 Risk of loss or damage to Physical Products shall pass to the User upon delivery, as defined under Clause 3 above, unless otherwise required under applicable law.

4.2 Title to the Physical Product shall pass upon delivery as well.

Users are advised to inspect Physical Products promptly upon delivery and report visible damage, defects, or discrepancies within the time period specified in the Shipping Policy or as mandated by applicable law.

5. Returns, Refunds & Replacements (Physical Products Only)

5.1 Returns, refunds, or replacements of Physical Products shall be governed by:

●       the Shipping & Delivery Policy; and

●       applicable consumer protection laws.

5.2 Unless expressly stated otherwise:

●       Physical Products shall not be eligible for return or refund due to change of mind, personal preference, or subjective dissatisfaction.

●       Products damaged due to misuse, improper handling, negligence, or causes attributable to the User shall not be eligible for replacement or refund.

5.3 Where a refund or replacement is approved in accordance with the Shipping & Delivery Policy:

●       refunds shall be processed through the original mode of payment; and

●       processing timelines shall apply as specified under the Payments & Refunds Policy.

Interaction with Bundled Offerings

6.1 Where a Physical Product is provided as part of a Bundled or Hybrid Offering:

• such Physical Product shall be governed by the Bundled Offerings and Refund Treatment provisions of this Policy; and
• no separate, standalone refund, return, or cancellation shall be permitted for the Physical Product component unless expressly stated in the offering-specific terms.

6.2 For the avoidance of doubt, refund principles applicable exclusively to courses, programs, or services (including credits, nominations, or compassionate grounds) shall not apply to Physical Products, unless expressly stated.

Discretion & Finality

All determinations relating to delivery, refunds, replacements, or eligibility under these Product-Specific Terms shall be made by the Hindu World Astrology in good faith and shall be final and binding, subject only to non-waivable rights available under applicable law.

To avail any of the above provisions, participants must submit a refund request, clearly stating the reason for their request and providing relevant supporting documentation when applicable and asked.

Procedure for Requesting Refunds, Credits, or Exceptional Relief

1. Written Request Requirement
    Any request for a refund, credit, substitution, or other exceptional relief under this Policy must be submitted in writing to the Hindu World Astrology at the contact details specified on the Website or otherwise communicated by the Hindu World Astrology from time to time.
2. Time of Request
    Requests must be raised within the time period, if any, prescribed under this Policy or under the offering-specific terms applicable to the relevant Offering. Requests submitted after commencement or outside such timelines shall not be considered, except where mandated by applicable law.
3. Supporting Information and Documentation
    Where a request is based on exceptional or extraordinary circumstances (including but not limited to grievous illness, hospitalization, accident, or death), the User shall provide sufficient and verifiable information and documentary evidence reasonably required by the Hindu World Astrology to substantiate the request.
4. Verification and Assessment
    All requests shall be subject to verification. The Hindu World Astrology shall assess each request in good faith and with due sensitivity, taking into account:

• the nature of the Offering;
• the stage of commencement or delivery;
• resources already allocated or expended; and
• the specific terms applicable to such Offering.

1. No Automatic Entitlement
    Submission of a request shall not, by itself, create any entitlement to a refund, credit, substitution, or relief. Any relief, if granted, shall be strictly in accordance with this Policy and shall be communicated in writing by the Hindu World Astrology.
2. Mode of Refund or Credit
    Where a refund or credit is approved:

• refunds shall be processed through the original mode of payment, where feasible; and
• credits, where issued, shall be subject to validity, transferability, and usage conditions as specified by the Hindu World Astrology.

1. Finality of Decision
    The Hindu World Astrology’s determination on refund, credit, or exceptional relief requests shall be final and binding, subject only to any non-waivable rights available to the User under applicable law.

Timeframe for Submitting Refund Requests

Any request for a refund, credit, substitution, or exceptional relief under this Policy must be submitted within sixty (60) days from the earlier of:
(a) the date of purchase; or
(b) the date of commencement of the relevant Offering,
as determined in accordance with this Policy.

For the avoidance of doubt, this timeframe only prescribes the outer procedural limit for submitting a request and shall not be construed as creating any entitlement to a refund or overriding the non-refundability provisions applicable upon commencement or delivery of an Offering.

Requests submitted after the expiry of the above period shall not be entertained, irrespective of whether the User has accessed, attended, participated in, or completed the Offering, except where:

• such request falls within the limited exceptional circumstances expressly recognised under this Policy; or
• consideration of such request is required under applicable non-waivable law.

The Hindu World Astrology’s decision on whether extraordinary or exceptional circumstances justify consideration of a request submitted beyond the prescribed timeframe shall be made in good faith and shall be final and binding, subject only to applicable law.

Processing time for refunds

Upon receiving a valid refund or change request, we will process the transaction within (1) one month from the date of the request. We strive to complete the process efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and security.

Notification of refund processing

Once the refunds have been processed, subscribers will receive an email notification confirming the completion of the transaction, in case of a successful transaction, and resolving the requests in case of any requests as per this policy.

 

Additional fees for refund requests

No additional fees will be charged for processing refund requests.
