Difference Between Part 1 &amp; Part 2 of the Courses?<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>The <em>Maitreya Jyotisha<\/em> Course has roughly 230 lessons. The First Part of the Course is <span style=\"color: #760b0a;\"><span style=\"color: #9a1808;\">\u2018Modern &amp; Foundational\u2019<\/span>,<\/span> simple &amp; analytical, covering 165 lessons, spread across <span style=\"color: #9a1808;\">Ten Modules<\/span>. It is based on systematic thought development, with a clearly defined <em>Jyotisha<\/em> framework, with predictive accuracy &amp; analytical clarity in the form of <em>sutras<\/em> of the <span style=\"color: #9a1808;\">Systems Approach [SA] developed by Professor V. K. Choudhry.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>In this <strong><span style=\"color: #9a1808;\">First Part<\/span><\/strong> we learn how every problem in <em>Jyotisha<\/em> is to be approached, \u2018seen\u2019, studied, understood and resolved; whether that problem is in the sphere of marital life, professional life, in the sphere of health &amp; disease, or in <em>dharma &amp; moksha &#8211;<\/em> which are the spiritual spheres of life.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong><span style=\"color: #9a1808;\">Second Part<\/span> <\/strong>is ancient, traditional <em>Jyotisha<\/em>, a stack of 75 lessons based on Classical <em>Jyotisha:<\/em> <span style=\"color: #9a1808;\">Brihat Parashara Hora Shastra in Two Vols.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><em><span style=\"color: #9a1808;\">The First and the Second Part<\/span> together, teach us how to look at any given human problem either from the classical Jyotisha framework, or from the <span style=\"color: #9a1808;\">SA<\/span> framework; understand that problem according to the sutras of Jyotisha &amp; gain a cluster of liberating insights into that problem.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #9a1808;\">Understanding the Predictive Power of the SA and the Deeper Inner Wholistic Insights of Parashara\u2019s VA<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The houses(Hs) are the 12 spheres of <span style=\"color: #9a1808;\">outer life<\/span>. The zodiacal signs are the 12 spheres of the \u2018Cosmic Climates\u2019(<span style=\"color: #9a1808;\">inner life<\/span>), on which the outer spheres of life, namely, the Hs come to rest. India is now in the ascending <span style=\"color: #9a1808;\">Dwapara yuga<\/span>, really, not even fully out of the sandhi of <span style=\"color: #9a1808;\">Kali yuga<\/span> &amp; ascending <span style=\"color: #9a1808;\">Dwapara yuga.<\/span> In more luminous yugas, like the <span style=\"color: #9a1808;\">Satya yuga &amp; the Treta yuga<\/span>, one may expect the significations of the zodiacal signs to have a stronger say than the significations of the Hs. However, in <span style=\"color: #760b0a;\"><span style=\"color: #9a1808;\">Kali yuga and in descending Dwapara, as well as in ascending Dwapara yugas, one has to make allowance for <\/span><em><span style=\"color: #9a1808;\">greater maya<\/span> <span style=\"color: #9a1808;\">in the Divine architecture;<\/span><\/em><span style=\"color: #9a1808;\"> meaning greater extroversion, so the Hs have come to have a greater say than the zodiacal signs(Sutra).<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>This is the fundamental reason, why in this current ascending Dwapara yuga, the <em>darshana of Jyotisha<\/em>, which gives greater emphasis to the Functional Nature of Planets(as does the <strong>SA<\/strong>); is able to have greater accuracy and greater predictive power; than a <em>darshana of Jyotisha<\/em>, which gives greater emphasis to the General Malefic &amp; Benefic Nature of Planets. <em>We are living in a more extroverted yuga. Our consciousness and lifestyle are both more extroverted; so it is not surprising that the <strong>SA<\/strong> which stresses the Functional Nature of Planets is on the dot, whereas Parashara\u2019s Jyotisha is not on the dot where predictions are concerned.<\/em> Although it must be said that Parashara\u2019s Jyotisha does give a wonderfully deep &amp; broad understanding of inner &amp; outer life, which the SA does not give. <em>Thus we need both the <strong>SA(Part 1),<\/strong> as well as <strong>Parashara\u2019s Jyotisha(Part 2),<\/strong> as they are complementary to each other and cover different aspects which we need for a total overarching vision.<\/em>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row]\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>[vc_row full_width=&#8221;stretch_row&#8221; css=&#8221;.vc_custom_1768640272955{padding-top: 80px !important;padding-bottom: 50px !important;background-image: url(https:\/\/hinduworldastrology.net\/staging\/staging\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/pexels-albinberlin-340901_crop-scaled.jpg?id=1567) !important;background-position: center !important;background-repeat: no-repeat !important;background-size: cover !important;}&#8221;][vc_column][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=&#8221;&#8221;]V.
