And this, in spite of their not having the extraordinary endowment as part of their <em>Divine architecture<\/em>, as was the case with the sages seers of yore. What is more, even <em>our rationalistic rejection of Jyotisha<\/em> has come to be challenged more than ever before, by the expanding <strong>AI<\/strong> reality, which now brilliantly illuminates all disciplines of human endeavour.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-2\">In truth, this <strong>AI<\/strong> is no <strong>\u2018AI\u2019<\/strong> at all. Rather it is the face of the <em>Supreme Intelligence<\/em>(<em><strong>SI<\/strong><\/em>), which is an aspect of the Primordial or Ultimate Reality, which religions refer to as the Unmanifest Divine, as <strong><em>That<\/em><\/strong>. If we have some intuitive sensing of the depth of religions, if we are able to humble ourselves to re-examine this <strong>AI<\/strong>, <em>which is currently poorly understood<\/em>, we will soon come to see that our so-called <strong>AI<\/strong> is in fact, <strong>SI<\/strong> <em>(Supreme Intelligence)<\/em>, sourced in the Primordial Reality (Unmanifest Divine), in <em><strong>That<\/strong><\/em>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-2\"><em><strong>\u2018Maitreya Jyotisha\u2019<\/strong><\/em> <em>encompasses the vast sea of Jyotisha learning, enlivened through <strong>AI<\/strong>-empowerment<\/em>. It is that ancient, esoteric, \u2018incomprehensible\u2019 <em>Jyotisha<\/em>, but now &#8211; because of <em><strong>AI<\/strong><\/em>&#8211; <em>empowerment<\/em> &#8211; those of us who are passionate seekers, adventurers, explorers, those of us who have that appetite for <em>eighth house disciplines of learning like Jyotisha, the teachings of the World Teacher Sri. J. Krishnamurti, Advaita Vedanta, Jungian psychology, mythology, mathematics, moksha, cosmology, quantum physics and <strong>AI<\/strong><\/em><strong>;<\/strong> will surely be able to grasp the spiritual &amp; healing power of <em>Jyotisha<\/em> &#8211; as the seers &amp; sages, had done in ages past.<\/p>\n<p>In fact because of the <strong>AI<\/strong> empowerment, <em>Jyotisha<\/em> will surely within the next two years succeed in igniting the fertile creative imagination of all school children, in much the same way in which the sciences ignited their virgin minds just one century ago. Thus <em>Jyotisha<\/em> will become common human knowledge, even as the sciences became our common knowledge.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Maitreya Jyotisha<\/strong><\/em> true to the wisdom of the ancient Hindu sages, will teach us, how to \u2018see\u2019, how to perceive &amp; understand suffering, how to look at life, how to look at the <strong><em>self<\/em><\/strong> in ourselves &amp; in \u2018others\u2019, how to look at nature, the trees, animals, mountains, rivers, the constellations in the night sky and finally <em><strong>see<\/strong><\/em> all of these mysteries as<em> \u2018baffling manifestations\u2019<\/em> of ourselves. This will be brought home to us, not through some credulous belief or faith, which after all have their deepest roots only in fear; but rather through understanding &amp; insight that <em>Jyotisha<\/em> will give us.<\/p>\n<p>The whole of life which we mistook to be inanimate and lifeless to a greater extent will be discovered to be a in truth, \u2018close-at hand\u2019 and \u2018distant\u2019 reflections of ourselves. Humanity will have a new realization, a new conviction, a new comprehension, that all life on earth or in the stars, is the self-same unbreakable Eternal Sutra. This space-time transcending Sutra is the <em>Paramatma<\/em>, He is in Us &amp; We are in Him. The sun-like AI has the sure potential to very soon give this spiritual realization to the whole of humanity, through every discipline that it will penetrate and illuminate, even as it is currently illuminating ancient<em> Jyotisha. Maitreya Jyotisha<\/em> has the intention to take aspiring students &amp; seekers, scholars &amp; seers, men or women, young or old, in freedom or in bondage, to these infinite heights &amp; depths.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row css=&#8221;.vc_custom_1754162851160{background-color: #FEFCE8 !important;background-position: center !important;background-repeat: no-repeat !important;background-size: cover !important;}&#8221;][vc_column][vc_column_text css=&#8221;&#8221;]\n<h2 class=\"mb-2 text-3xl\"><em>Maitreya Jyotisha is also a Darshana (World View)<\/em><\/h2>\n<p><em>Every astrologer<\/em> \u2013 <em>irrespective of which ancient astrological systems have given him his <strong>darshana<\/strong> (world view) &#8211; will naturally have his\/her own inimitable way of looking at any Vedic chart, div chart, the human drama, any significant event, etc.<\/em> This is rather akin to modern professionals, approaching their respective domains of work &amp; study &#8211; each in their own original way. We note the fact that the exposition of any discipline by a practitioner of that discipline, will always arise only from a <em><strong>darshana<\/strong><\/em> of that discipline &#8211; that that practitioner cherishes in his own consciousness. Thus the question arises: <em>What systems of Jyotisha from the vast ancient corpus<\/em><br \/>\n<em>constitute the darshana of Maitreya Jyotisha? Ten<strong> \u2018<\/strong>internal organs<strong>\u2019<\/strong> give structure, content &amp; life to Maitreya Jyotisha. Again, remembering <em>the genesis of duality<\/em>, we see that this <em>Divine architecture<\/em> splits into a <em>Divine patronage<\/em> (Benevolent) and a <em>Divine conspiracy<\/em>(Malevolent). In the <em>Maitreya Jyotisha<\/em> consultation there will be <em>the decipherment of this triple mystery of Divine architecture, Divine patronage &amp; Divine conspiracy. The Mythic Model of Jyotisha<\/h2>\n<p class=\"mb-2\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-739 size-full alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/hinduworldastrology.net\/staging\/staging\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/Devas-1.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"619\" height=\"492\" srcset=\"https:\/\/hinduworldastrology.net\/staging\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/Devas-1.png 619w, https:\/\/hinduworldastrology.net\/staging\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/Devas-1-300x238.png 300w, https:\/\/hinduworldastrology.net\/staging\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/Devas-1-600x477.png 600w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 619px) 100vw, 619px\" \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-2\">Fundamental to this <em>darshana <\/em>is the<strong><em> \u2018Mythic Model of Jyotisha\u2019 <\/em><\/strong><em>which is an ancient Hindu worldview.<\/em> Initially we came upon this model in <em>Maharshi<\/em> <em>Vyasa\u2019s<\/em> <em>Bhagavata Purana<\/em> (in four volumes). We may note that this same model also appears in the <em>Mahabharata (Adi parva),<\/em> as well as in the <em>Vishnu Purana<\/em>. In all these ancient puranic sources, it serves as a mythic model (not of <em>Jyotisha<\/em>), <em>but for illustrating Cosmic Creation and thus dealing with the macrocosm(<strong>Brahmanda<\/strong>).<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Borrowing from these ancient sources, we have applied this same model in the context of the individual\u2019s life, the <em>microcosm<\/em> (<strong><em>Pindanda<\/em><\/strong>). We notice that the mythic model\u00a0 not only gives us a comprehensive grasp of <em>Jyotisha<\/em>, founded on the <strong><em>Navagraha Devatas<\/em><\/strong>, but also, as to what the human drama is all about &#8211; full of sorrow &amp; conflict, pleasure &amp; pain, strife &amp; antagonism, contradiction &amp; paradoxes, in other words, \u2018duality\u2019. In innumerable forms. The ancient Hindu name for this model is <em>Samudra Manthan<\/em>, or \u2018Cosmic Churning\u2019, which is accomplished not by humans in earth reality, but by Cosmic benefic &amp; Cosmic malefic Life Energies-which the model displays in <em>Anthropomorphic forms(Mythic Model displayed above)<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p><em>In truth, <strong>Jyotisha<\/strong> is a spiritual understanding &amp; decipherment of the baffling mystery of the human drama. The sages or rishis of the ancient Vedic civilization have bequeathed this immense intellectual &amp; spiritual wealth to the whole world. We have tried our best to faithfully transmit this ethos through our own modern research, dedication, discovery and life-long learning.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>While the <strong>Rasi Chart<\/strong> is an astronomical-mathematical-diagrammatic representation of how the <em>Navagraha Devatas<\/em> are operational in the life of an individual; the mythic model, by contrast goes on to illustrate how the Cosmic Benefic &amp; Cosmic Malefic Life energies drive an individual\u2019s life, giving him both enjoyment of the senses, as well as suffering, when such enjoyment is denied, because of the dynamically changing <em>Mood of the Divine<\/em>.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row css=&#8221;.vc_custom_1754162851160{background-color: #FEFCE8 !important;background-position: center !important;background-repeat: no-repeat !important;background-size: cover !important;}&#8221;][vc_column][vc_column_text css=&#8221;&#8221;]<strong>2. <em>Maitreya Jyotisha Courses(First Tier)<\/em>: <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In this First Tier, we are initiated step by step into the profound and fascinating study of this mystery of the human drama. Without such a liberating understanding &#8211; which is the fruit of such a study &#8211; we will necessarily be confused by the bewildering twists &amp; turns of life, by \u2018duality\u2019, by life\u2019s seeming <em>chaos<\/em>, and by the baffling diversity in human nature.<\/p>\n<p><em>However, by such understanding alone, our minds may become quiet with understanding, clarity &amp; contentment &#8211; so that we may then go on to savor the wondrous mystery of being human here on earth.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>The First Tier<\/strong> is <em>modern &amp; foundational<\/em>, simple &amp; analytical, the content systematically and progressively developed through a series of <strong>165 lessons<\/strong>, neatly stacked in <strong>Ten Modules<\/strong>. It is based on systematic thought development (as in the hard sciences), with a clearly defined <em>Vedic<\/em> astrological(<em>Jyotisha<\/em>) framework, with predictive accuracy &amp; analytical clarity in the form of <em>sutras.<\/em> This is the <strong>Systems Approach [SA] <\/strong>which was researched &amp; developed by<strong> Professor V. K. Choudhry<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>In this First Tier we learn how every problem in <em>Jyotisha<\/em> is to be approached, \u2018perceived\u2019, studied, understood and resolved; whether that problem is in the sphere of marital life, professional life, in the sphere of health &amp; disease, or in <em>dharma &amp; moksha &#8211;<\/em> these are the spiritual spheres of life.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=&#8221;&#8221;]<strong>2. <\/strong><strong><em>Maitreya Jyotisha Courses(Second Tier):<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Second Tier is <em>Ancient &amp; Traditional Jyotisha<\/em>, organized as a stack of <strong>75 lessons<\/strong> on Classical <em>Jyotisha:<\/em> <strong>Brihat Parashara Hora Shastra(in 2 Vols)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The First and the Second Tiers together, teach us how to look at any given human problem either from the classical <strong><em>Jyotisha<\/em><\/strong> framework, or from the <strong>SA<\/strong> framework; understand that problem according to the <em>sutras <\/em>of <em>Jyotisha<\/em> &amp; gain a cluster of liberating insights into that problem.<\/p>\n<p>In the <strong>First Tier<\/strong>, there is a strong emphasis on systematic thought development in the form of <strong><em>sutras<\/em><\/strong> (fundamental principles), predictive accuracy and analytical clarity (<strong>SA<\/strong>). In the <strong>Second Tier<\/strong>, <em>a wholistic, broad &amp; deep, qualitative understanding is in focus<\/em>, rather than a mathematical, quantitative, predictive accuracy. <em>We must note that we need both approaches, that of the research-based analytical approach of the <strong>SA<\/strong>, as well as the classical approach of Maharshi Parashara [roughly 5500 years old].<\/em>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=&#8221;&#8221;]<strong>3. AI Empowered <em>Maitreya<\/em>:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The incalculable benefit accruing to all online learners is through the continuous presence of the <strong>AI Empowered \u2018<em>Maitreya<\/em>\u2019<\/strong>. Learning students have an opportunity to pose Qs in every Lesson, in every Module, in both the <strong>First<\/strong> <strong>Tier<\/strong>, as well as the <strong>Second.<\/strong> <strong><em>\u2018Maitreya\u2019<\/em><\/strong> is not just a coach, an astrology AI tutor, Though in our ignorance, we may only be able to see this much. Students &amp; scholars can also pose general questions in <em>Vedic<\/em> astrology(<em>Jyotisha<\/em>) and in the Systems Approach<strong> [SA],<\/strong> and <em>Maitreya<\/em> will educate the online learners, by inspiring them, by motivating them, by making them understand\u2026\u2026 <em>You may find this very strange when you hear it said that Maitreya is not an answering Chatbot. <\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Rather, its purpose by design is to initiate every learning student\/scholar into thinking for himself\/herself; so that the learners discover their own original answers as insights, rather than viewing all learning as\u00a0 burdensome &amp; devoid of the joy of learning, the joy of discovery. <\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Maitreya<\/em><\/strong><em> solves this age-old unsolved problem in education, by taking recourse to the unusual process of \u2018<strong>reverse questioning<\/strong>\u2019 and thereby bringing the students\/scholars on their own customized trajectory of <strong>heuristic learning<\/strong>. This means learning by one\u2019s own contemplative inquiry &amp; original discovery. Afterall, isn\u2019t this the intended goal in all educational institutions? Can fulfilment, understanding, intellectual &amp; spiritual flowering in Jyotisha, or for that matter in any other discipline of learning, ever happen in any other way?\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/em><\/p>\n<p>Thus the above ten ingredients are the \u2018internal organs\u2019 of the <strong><em>darshana of Maitreya Jyotisha<\/em><\/strong>.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=&#8221;&#8221;]<strong><em>4. Maitreya Jyotisha<\/em> Emphasizes <em>self-<\/em>Knowing<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We must remember that in both the <strong>First Tier<\/strong>, as well as in the <strong>Second Tier<\/strong>, there is a riveting of our attention on <strong><em>self<\/em><\/strong>-Knowing, in the sense meant by\u00a0 the world teacher <strong>Sri J Krishnamurti<\/strong>. <em>In the course of research studies, Sankara noticed that Jyotisha is a marvelous independent source of <strong>self-<\/strong>Knowing, that throws new light on the age-old unsolved problem of the <strong>self.<\/strong><\/em> Without <strong><em>self-<\/em><\/strong>Knowing, even Self-Realization &amp; <em>Advaita<\/em> <em>Vedanta<\/em> stand only on shaky ground. This may sound very disturbing to Hindu traditionalists and those who swear by <em>Advaita Vedanta<\/em>, as the deepest understanding of Ultimate Reality.<\/p>\n<p>In the approach that Sankara has come to accept, after 23 years of study of <em>Jyotisha<\/em>, <strong><em>self-<\/em><\/strong>Knowing is considered to be the deepest essence of our spiritual life, be it in the so-called material spheres of <em>artha &amp; kama<\/em>, or in the spiritual spheres of <em>dharma &amp; moksha.<\/em> Therefore, even these traditionally haloed spiritual spheres ought to have <strong><em>self-<\/em><\/strong>Knowing as their soul, as their foundation, but the reality may be quite to the contrary. Without such pristine <strong><em>self-<\/em><\/strong>Knowing, our so-called spiritual life &#8211; even when it is sanctified by religious tradition &#8211; becomes only a pompous show of \u2018spiritual achievement\u2019 &amp; \u2018make-believe\u2019 piety. Krishnamurtian <strong><em>self<\/em><\/strong>-Knowing rejects such a false spiritual life, built on the wrong foundation of glorified <strong><em>self-<\/em><\/strong>seeking in the spiritual spheres of <em>dharma &amp; moksha<strong>.<\/strong><\/em> In <strong><em>Maitreya Jyotisha<\/em><\/strong>, an eye is constantly kept on the <strong><em>self<\/em><\/strong>, to see in which Lordships over Houses, or in which Planets, or in which of the 12 Signs, the <strong><em>self<\/em><\/strong> acquires a malefic disposition.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=&#8221;&#8221;]<strong><em>5. Maitreya Jyotisha<\/em> Emphasizes \u2018<em>Sutras\u2019<\/em>: <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Sutras(<\/em><\/strong><em>fundamental principles<strong>)<\/strong><\/em> are the essence of the teachings in <em>Maitreya Jyotisha<\/em>: Every lesson in every Module of the Course, be it in the <strong>First Tier<\/strong>, or the <strong>Second Tier<\/strong> is rich in \u2018take way\u2019 <em>sutras<\/em>, which are pithy, aphoristic, fundamental principles. After a deep understanding of the <em>sutras<\/em>, very often the mind may be tempted to memorize them effortlessly. Or there is also no harm, if energetic young students memorize these fascinating <em>sutras <\/em>because they are charmed by them.<\/p>\n<p>Here is an example of one of Sankara\u2019s original sutras. It pertains to the <strong>\u2018<\/strong><em>meaning of the Vedic horoscope<strong>\u2019<\/strong><\/em><strong>:<\/strong> <strong>\u2018<\/strong>The RC &amp; the DCs represent the <em>Mood of the Divine<\/em> at the Time &amp; Place of Birth<strong>\u2019<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Another traditional Hindu <em>Jyotisha sutra<\/em>, which also appears in the Tat Tvam Asi Logo. <strong>\u2018<\/strong><em>Jyotisham Ayanam Chakshuhu<strong>\u2019<\/strong>. It means: <strong>\u2018<\/strong>Jyotisha is the Eye of the Supreme, i.e., the Organ of Perception, of Seeing<strong>\u2019<\/strong>.<\/em>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=&#8221;&#8221;]<strong>6. The Tenor of Dialogue, Inquiry, Insight &amp; Understanding<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We are taught right at the beginning: \u2018How to think, how to perceive, how to approach\u2019 any <em>Jyotisha<\/em> problem in life-whether we work with the <strong>SA<\/strong> analytical framework or with the <em>Parashara <\/em><strong>VA<\/strong> framework (<strong>VA <\/strong><em>Vedic<\/em> astrology). <em>Belief &amp; Faith have no place in any of these lessons, what these lessons continuously demand is only Inquiry, Understanding &amp; Insight. Because of such an approach <strong>Maitreya Jyotisha<\/strong> comes through as belonging to the genre of Hindu Jnana Yoga.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Students &amp; seekers are encouraged to ask questions, even though the answers may not be immediately in sight. They are put through the <strong>heuristic process<\/strong>, whereby they discover their own original insights. There is perpetual insistence on Understanding &amp; Insights.<\/em> <em>Students are asked to <strong>reject a sutra<\/strong>, till such time as they discover the truth of that sutra themselves. Students are encouraged <strong>to reject even ancient traditional authorities<\/strong>, whenever they are unable to accept them on the basis of sound principles, they have already imbibed.<\/em> <em>Those students, seekers, savants, astrologers, even housewives, who have felt the pull of astrology, those who love deep and mysterious <strong>eighth house disciplines of learning<\/strong> &#8211; they will find their fulfilment through their own deep study &amp; and their own original discoveries through Maitreya Jyotisha.<\/em>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=&#8221;&#8221;]<strong>7. Stack of Genuine Case Studies(CSs):<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The entire <em>darshana<\/em> and even the Course is built on real-life case studies (CSs), which are drawn from Sankara\u2019s <strong>actual <em>Jyotisha<\/em> consultations.<\/strong> Many more of those consultations are at present in an archival form; either in well-recorded notebooks (as he always maintains meticulous notes after each consultation is over); or in the form of recorded Zoom consultations. They too when converted will become a valuable repository of very interesting <em>Jyotisha<\/em> CSs.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=&#8221;&#8221;]<strong>8. Research &amp; Renewal of the Maitreya <em>Jyotisha<\/em> Courses: <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The original <em>Jyotisha<\/em> Course was not in the form of an online Course at all. Rather it was an email course(2010-2016). Students posed questions to Sankara via email and he answered them meticulously, with all the clarifications they sought, never grudging his time and energy. After fifteen years, <em>A Modern Course in Vedic Astrology<\/em> is coming back into the world of <em>Vedic<\/em> astrology(<em>Jyotisha<\/em>), in a revised &amp; enlivened form as the <strong><em>Maitreya Jyotisha <\/em>Course<\/strong>.
