This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) describes how Hindu World Astrology, a trust operating the website and related platforms (hereinafter referred to as the “Trust”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), collects, uses, processes, stores, shares, and protects Personal Data of users.

This Policy applies to every individual who:

  • visits or browses the Website,
  • creates an account,
  • makes payments,
  • enrolls in or avails any Service,
  • purchases any Product or Digital Product, or
  • otherwise interacts with the Trust in any capacity,

(each referred to as a “User”, “you”, or “your”).

By accessing or using the Website or availing any Offering, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to the practices described in this Policy.

Subject to applicable law, you may exercise certain rights in relation to your Personal Data, including the right to seek access to information about processing, request correction or updating of inaccurate or incomplete data, request erasure of Personal Data, withdraw consent where processing is based on consent, and seek grievance redressal.

Means any Service, Product, Digital Product, or Bundled/Hybrid Offering made available by the Trust.

Shall have the same meaning assigned in the Payment and Refund Policy and generally include consultations, courses, workshops, webinars, advisory or instructional engagements, whether delivered online, digitally, or otherwise.

“Digital Products”

Means downloadable or electronically accessible materials, recordings, content, or resources supplied in digital form, whether standalone or ancillary to a Service.

“Physical Products”

Means tangible goods or materials capable of physical delivery.

“Bundled or Hybrid Offering”

Means an Offering that combines Service components with Digital Products and/or Physical Products, whose classification shall be determined in accordance with the Payment and Refund Policy.

“Personal Data”

means any data about an individual who is identifiable by or in relation to such data.

“Sensitive Personal Data”

Shall carry the meaning, if any, assigned under applicable legal provisions as on date.

For the time being in force the Information Technology (Reasonable security practices and procedures and sensitive personal data or information) Rules, 2011 defines – Sensitive personal data or information of a person means such personal information which consists of information relating to;— (i) password; (ii) financial information such as Bank account or credit card or debit card or other payment instrument details ; (iii) physical, physiological and mental health condition; (iv) sexual orientation; (v) medical records and history; (vi) Biometric information.

“Processing”

Includes collection, recording, organisation, storage, adaptation, retrieval, use, disclosure, sharing, transfer, or erasure of Personal Data.

“Personal data breach” means any unauthorised processing of personal data or accidental disclosure, acquisition, sharing, use, alteration, destruction or loss of access to personal data, that compromises the confidentiality, integrity or availability of personal data.

Consent-Based Processing

By accessing or using the Website, creating an account, enrolling in or availing any Service, purchasing any Product, or otherwise interacting with the Trust, you freely, specifically, informedly, and unambiguously consent to the collection and processing of your Personal Data for the purposes described in this Policy.

Depending on the nature of your interaction with the Trust and the type of Offering availed, we may collect the following categories of Personal Data:

Full name, date of birth, time/place of birth (where required for astrological or belief-based Services), email address, telephone number, postal/shipping address, and other contact details.

B. Account and Transaction Information

Username, password, booking details, enrollment data, order history, payment status, invoices, and related records.

C. Consultation / Service Information

Information voluntarily shared by you during consultations, courses, webinars, or advisory interactions, which may include personal circumstances, questions, preferences, recordings, feedback, or communications with the Trust.

D. Payment Information

Payment confirmation details, transaction identifiers, billing references, and limited information provided by payment gateways.
The Trust does not store full card or banking credentials.

E. Technical and Usage Information

IP address, device information, browser type, access times, log data, and interaction with digital platforms for security, analytics, and service improvement.

F. Communications

Any information you provide when contacting us for support, grievances, refund requests, nominations, or other inquiries.

We collect Personal Data either directly from you, automatically through your use of the Website, or from authorized third-party service providers involved in payment processing, logistics, or technology infrastructure.

Use of Information

The Trust processes Personal Data lawfully and transparently, primarily on the basis of your consent and as necessary for providing the Services, Products, and Digital Products you request. Such purposes include:

Service & Product Fulfilment

  • enabling bookings, consultations, spiritual sessions, and course participation;
  • providing access to Digital Products, study material, recordings, or downloads;
  • processing, shipping, and delivering Physical Products

Account Administration

  • creating and maintaining user profiles where applicable;
  • authenticating user access;
  • maintaining transaction and service history

Communication

While the Trust processes Personal Data for the purposes described above, you retain the rights available to you under applicable data protection laws, including the right to seek access, correction, updating, or erasure of your Personal Data, withdraw consent, and grievance redressal. Data Principal Rights

In accordance with applicable data protection laws, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (“DPDP Act”), Users whose Personal Data is processed by the Trust are entitled to exercise certain rights, subject to lawful limitations.

1. Right to Access Information

You have the right to obtain confirmation as to whether the Trust is processing your Personal Data and to seek a summary of such data and the processing activities undertaken.

2. Right to Correction and Updating

You may request correction, completion, or updating of inaccurate or misleading Personal Data maintained by the Trust.

3. Right to Erasure

You may request erasure of your Personal Data where:

  • the data is no longer necessary for the purpose for which it was collected;
  • consent has been withdrawn; or
  • processing is otherwise not required under law.

This right is subject to the Trust’s obligations to retain information for legal, regulatory, accounting, dispute resolution, fraud prevention, or enforcement of contractual terms.

4. Right to Withdraw Consent

Where retention is no longer necessary, the Trust will delete or anonymize the Personal Data in accordance with applicable law.

Notwithstanding the foregoing, certain records may be retained for longer durations where required for such as:

These third parties are authorized to process Personal Data only for specified purposes, in accordance with the Trust’s documented instructions, and are required to implement reasonable security measures.

The Trust does not sell, rent, or trade Personal Data to third parties for independent marketing purposes.

Cross-Border Transfers/Processing

Personal Data may be stored or processed outside India by third-party infrastructure or service providers engaged by the Trust.

Where such transfers occur, the Trust will ensure that they are undertaken in accordance with applicable legal requirements and subject to reasonable safeguards.

Security Practices and User Responsibility

The Trust implements reasonable technical, administrative, and organisational safeguards designed to protect Personal Data against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, destruction, or loss, in accordance with applicable law and generally accepted industry standards.

However, the transmission of information over the internet or electronic storage systems is not completely secure. Despite our best efforts, the Trust cannot guarantee that are not in its control or infallible security of systems or data due to reasons not attributable to the Trust.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Trust shall not be responsible for any breach, loss, interception, unauthorised access, malware, spyware, ransomware, viruses, denial-of-service attacks, hacking, or other security incidents that are beyond the Trust’s control.

Accuracy of Information Provided by Users

The Trust processes Personal Data in reliance upon the information provided by you or by persons authorised by you.

The Trust does not independently verify the accuracy, completeness, or authenticity of data submitted by Users unless specifically required for a defined Offering or mandated by law.

You are responsible for ensuring that all information supplied to the Trust is true, accurate, complete, and up to date.

The Trust shall not be liable for any consequences, errors in Services, delivery failures, or inability to perform an Offering arising from inaccurate, outdated, or incomplete information provided by you.

Breach Notification

In the event of a Personal Data Breach, the Trust shall take reasonable steps as required under applicable law, including mitigation measures and notification to authorities or affected Users where mandated.

Children / Minor Data

Requests should be submitted in writing with sufficient details/supporting documents to enable identification of the User and the nature of the request.

The Trust may seek additional information for identity verification before processing any request. The Trust shall acknowledge receipt of a grievance or request within forty-eight (48) hours of its receipt. Every such grievance shall be resolved or responded to within thirty (30) days from the date of receipt, unless a shorter period is mandated under applicable law.
