Apart from being thankful to a couple of traditional Vedic astrologers, for some help received, during the first two years of my Vedic astrological study; I am also especially grateful to a large circle of friends, well-wishers, several members of the family, as well as some spiritual souls and new-comers – all of whom had trustingly put their horoscopes into my hands and supplied me with information about their life-events and life-patterns, thus enabling me to have sufficient archival materials for the verification of the profound knowledge of Hindu astrology, when the same was applied to the enigmatic and problematic situations in their personal lives.

Ms. Deepa Madhavan, an architect and family-friend deserves special commendation, for having intuitively sensed the value of my astrological work and also for being selfless, in recommending my Vedic astrological Remedial Measures to a large circle of her family members and friends.

Seekers of Astrological Guidance:

Finally, I am beholden in a special way, to a wide circle of friends as well as newcomers, who had turned to me at some time or the other in the course of the last seven years, seeking astrological guidance in the face of some daunting crisis in life. I consider it my good fortune to have been of some use to people, especially when I had gone into antarmukha [withdrawal into seclusion for the purpose of spiritual study], so as to respond fully to my astrological calling at this time. Because of their disarming candour and their trusting nature, they were able to air their life’s problems and dilemmas, which was instrumental in drawing out the right astrological solutions from me. These conversations and consultations were symbiotic and mutually beneficial. So far as I was concerned, it opened up for me an excellent opportunity to gather together and understand a richer variety of astrological patterns–as illustrative examples of the SA and the VA sutras–and in this way, keep my horses of learning on the gallop. As far as those who sought my guidance were concerned; they too could have their satisfaction in having their dilemmas pacified and securing reliable solutions for their karmic-obstructions through the powerful Remedial Measures of VA and the SA.

Family support:

As I have been working from home, during the last seven yrs, the home atmosphere has played a vital role in shaping my astrological work. I am naturally grateful to my two family members – my wife Dr. Prema Shanker and my daughter Kumari Gayatri Shanker, for their loving encouragement and support in many different ways. The Madduri Balakrishna family [my sister’s] has also been very supportive in many ways, for which I am beholden to them as well.

Managerial & Other Support in Astrological Work:

Sri S. Kannan, who has been helping me in my earlier spiritual mission and also now in my astrological research-work [in the course of the last fifteen yrs], deserves warm appreciation for his discipline, patience and unstinted co-operation at all times. Likewise, without the sincere efforts of Sri Kumar Achari, the silver smith, I could not have embarked on these Vedic astrological services, for this has called for a punctuality and alacrity on our part, but without ever violating the norms of having to strictly observe auspicious Muhurtas and Poojas, for all the activities, involving the Kavachs.
