Astrological Spiritual Guidance
The Remedial Measures prescribed in Vedic astrology & in the Systems Approach are certainly not to be taken as ‘some actions’, which when performed ‘mechanically’ will bring about an end to the karmic-obstructions in our life. As we have adequately emphasized in Part VII & VIII, there has to be a change of heart at the time these Remedial Measures are being taken up. As explained in Part VI & confirmed by the numerous case-studies of Part IX; the individual who comes now on the path of the astrological Remedial Measures, is obliged to have devotion & sincerity as essential spiritual qualities for undertaking these time-tested Remedial Measures.
We provide spiritual guidance, depending on the strength of the Su & Ju and the planets which rule the Dharma & the Moksha Hs in the natal chart. [See the examples of Part X & case-study 15 of Part IX]
It often happens that we keep on waiting for ‚’spiritual awakening and unfoldment‚’ and in the end, nothing might happen if we do not take the pains to go more deeply into the spiritual life. Hopes can also be belied if the spiritual planets – the Su & Ju and the Dharma & Moksha lords are weak and/or afflicted. As happens always in the worldly spheres of Artha & Kama, weak planets produce the phenomenon of ‚’delay & denial‚’ and this is applicable also to the spiritual spheres of Dharma & Moksha. Thus, unless these weak planets governing our spiritual life are strengthened through the Remedial Measures we may not be able to reap any harvest in our spiritual life. [See Part V Sec 8(ii)]
Having undertaken the Remedial Measures, we must also enter into disciplined & regular sadhana and the nature of the sadhana that will suit us can be discovered from the natal chart. When the Remedial Measures are followed with devotion & sincerity and sadhana undertaken along prescribed lines, then one has spiritual fulfilment and the delay will not ripen into a denial. To achieve our spiritual goals, we may also seek the blessings of Spiritual Masters, Sages & Avatars, as they will be capable of transmitting their grace during various spiritual satsangs & retreats.
